Beginning June 2009, IT will offer new classes designed to introduce Drupal to a wider group of UD Web developers. The following classes are being offered in the upcoming months:

  • Web Presence and Web Strategies
    Learn how to make decisions regarding your department’s Web presence. This session will Include a discussion/comparison of Drupal, Dreamweaver, and other Web development tools.
  • Introduction to UDrupal
    This presentation-based class introduces participants to Drupal terminology and concepts. In addition, the instructor will discuss what participants can expect from hosting a site with ITs UDrupal service.
  • Drupal: Content Provider I
    Hands-on training for adding content to a Drupal site. This session includes access to a temporary Drupal site.
  • Drupal: Site Administrator I
    Hands-on training for site administrators about site creation and configuration. This session includes access to a temporary Drupal site.
  • Drupal: Site Administrator II
    Second class in the Site Admininistrator series. This hands-on class briefly reviews material covered in the Site Administrator I class and introduces the concepts of how to create new content types and taxonomy (tagging). This session includes access to a temporary Drupal site.
  • Introduction to the Content Construction Kit (CCK) and Views
    This class introduces participants to the Drupal way of publishing and viewing content using the CCK module. CCK helps administrators build a form for content creation, while views allows the administrator to dynamically show selected pieces of posted content.
