Requesting a Development Copy of a Published Site

After your UDrupal Web site has been published, you may decide you want to overhaul your Web site or make a design change while working on it outside the public view. You can request a "snapshot" copy of your Web site be moved back to drupal-dev.nss.udel.edu, allowing you to develop a new design for your site without affecting the information you are publishing to the public.

Reminder: When you make this request, it is your responsibility to make ensure that everyone who works on your Web site understands the difference between the published version of your site and the development version.

To request a snapshot of your Web site be moved back to the UDrupal development server, go to http://www.udel.edu/udrupal and click the CONTACT US tab.

  1. Fill in all the fields on the Contact form.
    • Type your name and e-mail address in the appropriate boxes.
    • In the Subject box, include the name of your UDrupal Web site.
    • From the pull-down Category menu, click Support.
    • In the Message text box, provide any additional details about your request. For example, the date you would like the site moved, or any other special requests.
  2. Click SEND E-MAIL.

NOTES

  • Allow three (3) business days for IT staff to move a copy of your site back to the UDrupal development server.
  • Ensure all staff who might be working on the development copy understand the difference between the two versions of your site.
